Common Problems. 1. response. Car unlocks, but will not start. Battery seems OK. Having exactly the same issue. Recently replaced battery. Seems to be worst in mornings and if I eventually get it started then it is ok until the next day. Seems to be getting progressively worse. Mon Nov 29 2010, 03:05pm. Member No: #1556. Joined: Nov 12 2007. Location: Stoke-on-Trent. Had a few days last week when the battery was flat in morning and needed coaxing into life with the batter starter. My car gets loads of starts each day and the original battery lasted just over 3 years.
I am now on my 3rd one. What I think happens is that the relay coils protection circuit is destroyed by the back emf from the coil and then the relay does not switch over which discharges the battery. The actual relay is fine or at least it was on the one I cut open. Diagnostics should throw up the fault code for a non working relay on it.
I have since brought a new battery (Lead Acid) and the car still won't start or even turn. I'm now thinking it could be the starter motor. 2008 C4 Grand Picasso VTR+ 1.6 diesel Any help to identify the problem will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Plugging in the computer it had an array of errors, mainly brake issues, the internet suggested it could be a supply wire for the abs/ esp computer, it had been changed previously and had a beefier fuse than the original, slightly suspicious so off came the front left wheel, and inner liner and some previous owner had fitted a plastic bag 0WNFPAW.
