The good ones. 1. Heroes 3. Will likely be first for most. Heroes 3 is the best designed HoMM game. Nice graphics, which hold up to this day. Most content (factions, creatures, spells, heroes), for the most part fine mechanics. Only a couple of secondary skills are quite useless. The variety is unmatched.
HoMM3 What do you consider to be best and worst factions? For me, best: Necropolis, OP racial skill making it the strongest faction in game. Conflux, many OP creatures. Castle, most balanced and well rounded, doesn't really have a weakness. Worst: Tower, most expensive, creatures don't justify the cost. Inferno, weak creatures generally.

It is a faction of demons, the children of Urgash. Although not worshiping their father, they will happily carry out his desire to kill, rape, burn and destroy everything that Asha has created. It has been more than 500 years since the Air/Storm Elementals have to be the best 2nd level unit. They are on par with 3rd level units and are a match for certain level 4 units. They are also rather expensive, but worth it for their power. Bless works very well with their damage. Storm Elementals have melee penalty, so make sure they are guarded. Remember that level 2 troops have the biggest impact at the start of the game, for taking mines and neutrals. Stormies are far and away the best at it. 2. Marksman - Great damage, solid speed, inexpensive. Just like Stormies, they're fantastic at early battles and still awesome later on. 3. Angels and Archangels: 'Nuff said. The best level 7 unit in the game. So good that they added 3 gems to the unit cost to balance it in Armageddon's Blade. Excellent stats and a Resurrection ability. One trick to use for AA is the Clone spell, which allows for essentially twice the resurrection if you don' have the resurrection spell.
