Two color brioche stitch in the round: Round 1 (using main color): brk1, sl1yo; repeat to the end of the round. Round 2 (using contrasting color): sl1yo, brp 1; repeat to the end of the round. Height of cowl: For a total height of 20 cm I ended the brioche stitch pattern 19 cm (7.5 inches) from the cast on edge.
Pass the slipped stitch over. Slip the stitch to the left-hand needle and pass over the next brioche stitch (with the yarn over). m1L – make 1 left increase. I've gone with the two-color work knit flat since it shows the most contrast between the stitches, but the same rules apply to one color AND brioche knit in the round. What I don't say in the video but will say here, is pick up the dropped stitch with the stockinette column facing you.
