1-Step Colder MK6 GLI Spark Plugs. DIY Difficulty: Easy. 2. Water pump failure. Another very common problem in most Volkswagen’s and Audi’s is premature water pump failure. Water pumps are crucial in the cooling system. They take coolant from the radiator and push it to the engine to ensure optimal engine temperature.
Uk. TDI. 1.9 105bhp. Mar 12, 2012. #1. Good morning/evening where ever you may be in the world, i purchased a new car a while ago, and it has developed a few problems recently, i will try and be as detailed as possible and have even recorded a video to help. first off the car is a 2006/2007 VW golf 1.9TDI 105bhp with an engine code of BXE.
DIY Difficulty: Easy. 2. Oil leaks. Oil leaks are most common in the 1.8T and the 2.8 V6 B5 Passat engines. Now, this may be a very vague problem, but it does happen to have some serious consequences if ignored. Oil leaks are as it sounds, oil leaking out of the engine when and where it is not supposed to.

MK5 Golf 1.9tdi - knocking occasionally. My Mk5 Golf 1.9 TDI is starting to occasionally make a knocking noise. When I accelerate the knocking increases and turns more into rapid tapping whilst the car shakes. It normally goes back to normal after 10-15 minutes (not always) and most of the time the car is completely normal and runs perfect.

The power can literally be completely there, and then completely not there. It isn't limp mode as power can literally come and go with the press of the accelerator.

Re: Remap on high mileage? « Reply #7 on: February 10, 2013, 10:44:41 pm ». I have no problems with the engine longevity, the issue is more with the clutch. A remap places more strain on the clutch, so if this is tired it can quickly show itself along with a vibrating DMF.
